As reported today on WBZTV 4 Boston, the as of yet unsolved case of Molly Bish, is still fresh in the hearts and minds of many. Just because it is approaching the ninth year of the investigation, does not mean the case is not active.

Molly, a 16-year-old lifeguard, disappeared on June 27, 2000. Her case turned into a murder investigation three years later, when her remains were found in the woods near the Warren-Palmer line.

She reportedly vanished from her lifeguard post at Comins Pond in Warren, Massachusetts sometime between 10:05 and 10:15 a.m., leaving behind her shoes and backpack and a first-aid kit left open at the beach.

The extensive search for Molly was the largest and most costly of its kind in Massachusetts history and came to its end June 9, 2003, three year and just five miles from her family home.

The family and friends and foundation are still looking for new and innovative ways to raise awareness to the fact that this is an unsolved case and bring a killer to justice.

An intensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding Molly's abduction and fate is ongoing ...

One new tool being implemented on the part of the foundation is a billboard with a different twist on a Wanted Poster.

The billboard will be put in place January 27th and be up until the anniversary of Molly's disappearance on June 27th.

It will say "Murderer Wanted" and will have a picture of Molly and a sketch of the unidentified suspect in the case.

The family is hoping to generate new leads. Nobody was ever charged in Molly's disappearance or death, and a grand jury investigating the case was dismissed in December 2006 without handing up an indictment.

The billboard will also note there is a $100,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of a suspect.

The case has been profiled on Americas Most Wanted. There is a suspect profile and a police artist rendering of witness accounts of a man who was seen in the area.

Additionally there are other annual fund raising events, to fund visibility raising efforts, one of which will commence as the billboard campaign ends.

The Molly Bish Foundation & Life "Guards" Center, Inc will be hosting their 10th Annual Molly's Ride for Child Safety on Sunday, June 28, 2009 at Old Sturbridge Village in Sturbridge, MA. This event is one of the largest police escorted charity motorcycle rides in New England that predominantly supports the organization by the proceeds it generates each and every year.

The Molly Bish Foundation will once again be displaying its operation on site accompanied by fun-filled activities for the whole family. Further details of the event can be viewed on the

This is awesome! Molly's been missing for some time and sad but true people give up searching except the families. Thank you for posting the story and remembering Molly.

I have followed this case from the beginning. It has touched me in such a way i will never forget. I first remember seeing Magi Bish's face on T.V. when Molly first disappeared and I felt her angiush. I still pray her killer will be found. i saw on News fox 25 this morning that they may have a suspect to question in Florida but I have not seen anything on-line. Does anyone have info on this?
