Morales leaves referendum on Congress’ hands and calls for electing two Prefects

  La Paz, Sep, 6, (ABI).- Today, Morales’ government put on Congress’ hands the new law passing which sets a date for a referendum carrying out where Bolivian people will define permitted hectare amount and will accept or turn down Bolivian Constitution. Besides that Bolivian President decreed Prefect elections for La Paz and Cochabamba Department on January 25th, 2009.  Morales announced these measures over a Press Conference at Palacio Quemado. He explained that his Administration made that decision in order that National Electoral Court did not make any observation and could carry out this electoral process normally.  Rdc/Dgav                 ABI.
