A police search crew near the home of kidnap suspect Phillip Garrido have found more bones at the site. Although it is too early to confirm that the bones are human investigators have dug up both Garrido's home as well as another nearby property.

Police Lieutenant Christine Orrey said it was too early to tell if the bones were human after dozens of investigators spent a second day digging at the home of Garrido and a neighbouring property in Antioch, east of San Francisco.

"We have located what appear to be bones on both properties," Orrey said, adding that the bones had been sent to a laboratory for analysis.

"Finding them is the first step in the process."

Garrido and his wife Nancy are accused of the kidnapping, rape, and false imprisonment of Jaycee Lee Duggard. Phillip Garrido is also being accused of fathering two children with Duggard but is rumored to be responsible for the kidnapping of both Michaela Garecht and Ilene Misheloff.
