Declining foreclosure rates and loan delinquencies means mortgage lenders in Anchorage are facing fewer problems. The city recorded further declines during the month of June 2010.

Mortgage lenders in the areas of Anchorage and Mat-Su in Alaska are probably happier than other lenders in other areas of the U.S. This is because statistics for June 2010 showed that the two regions have recorded further declines in terms of loan delinquencies. Meanwhile, mortgage foreclosure rate for the month remained flat, with figures remaining at less than one percent.

In addition, both foreclosure rates and loan delinquency rates posted numbers that are way below nationwide figures. Anchorage home auctions, unlike other metro areas in the U.S., have fewer foreclosed properties up for sale and have maintained their steady status for the sixth month of 2010.
