There are very few, if any, photos/stories on the web that give an accurate portrayal of Galveston TX, post-Ike. I attribute this to the fact that "sex (devastation) sells". The reality however is that, just over a month since Hurricane Ike hit, most (75% if I had to assign a number) of Galveston's homes are livable, and an equal number of it's businesses are open.
