There are only 3 days left to vote for the Most Influential Canadian Expat in the World.

Between July 1st and September 30th the Canadian Expat Association collected nominations from people all around the globe.  Several hundred names were submitted and a list representing the top 17 most nominated names has been compiled.  All those on the list were nominated at least twice.

While the vote was opened to the public on October 1st, it will close on the 31st, revealing the Most Influential Canadian Expat.

This is the last day...Vote here.

Your vote entitles you to be entered into a draw to receive a wonderful Tim Hortons basket with two travel Thermos mugs and four cans of coffee courtesy of Tim Hortons.  The package will be sent to wherever you live in the world.

Good morning,

I just finished clicking on "The Canadian Expat Association" as well as the web-site address which both lead to an e-letter from the aforementioned association. They have not updated their letter with any news of a winner. There I clicked on a site to go to another screen about the contest, but it is dated early october, offering the opportunity to vote, plus you have to become a member (free) to enter.

So I checked Tim Horton's website. No mention of such a contest on the newspage, and clicking contests merely take one to a list of last year's "Roll Up The Rim To Win" rules, as well as two other old contests.

Interestingly, there appears to be a disconnect between the corporation and the organization somewhere.

I just realized it would be good to contact both and get a statement about the contest.

The contest closed Ocotober 31st, Winner will be announced this evening.  Tim Hortons is sending the winner (of the draw from those that voted) a gift basket.  Ms. Marianne A. Carrington, currently living in Barbados, was selected.

All this will come out in the newsletter from the Canadian Expat Association later tonight.

I sent e-mails to both companies, asking for an official statement which may be published here, regarding the contest and prize. Hope to hear soon from both.
