MSNBC Uses Russert Death to Falsely Boost Ratings
MSNBC which has turned into the Obama network has been cooking the books. Since they can’t seem to get out of last place in the ratings they used the Tim Russert Special to report their viewer numbers. Is this a trustworthy network that uses the death of an anchor to win ratings? Funny because when the Bush administration commits an error MSNBC calls it a crime. The flap was over a press release that MSNBC issued, based on Nielsen data, with the headline “MSNBC’s ‘Hardball’ No. 1 Among Adults in June at 5 p.m.” A bold face lie ..mpress
CNN and Fox News Channel both pointed out Tuesday that MSNBC included special coverage of Tim Russert’s death and memorial in its June data ratings for Hardball With Chris Matthews – prompting MSNBC to say it made an error.
The flap was over a press release that MSNBC issued, based on Nielsen data, with the headline “MSNBC’s ‘Hardball’ No. 1 Among Adults in June at 5 p.m.”
According to the release, Hardball averaged 190,000 adults 25 to 54 in June, beating CNN and Fox News at 5 p.m. in that demographic for the first time since February 2002.
But the announcement immediately drew fire from CNN and Fox News, who charged that MSNBC was using straight 5 p.m. time slot data for June, not data solely for Hardball.
By using the 5 p.m. info, rather than program data, MSNBC was including in its tally special coverage it had aired on Meet the Press moderator Russert’s death and memorial. Source

mpress, I like this story. It's good stuff. While folks are Wining about the alledged altered photos on Fox, MSNBC actually does something criminal. How many comments will you get? It just shows the left gives their side a pass while trying to discredit fox for any possible thing

Just the fact that the left is upset that conservatives have one news channel that they trust shows that they can not stand opinions which counter their view of the world. Instead the best they can do is question the inteligence of the Fox viewers. It is an old liberal tactic when they have nothing smart to say they accuse their opponents of lacking in the brain dept. History has proven that tactic is a flawed one. Remember they said Reagan was an idiot which turned out to be egg on liberals faces when history proved Reagan was a very smart man. And they do the same with Bush today. Thanks P.

mpress, I like this story. It's good stuff. But then with the South American hostages release, CNN have a big story this evening in a comparison of his Capture by the ELN versus the Farc, it is only then you realize this guy was help captive a mere 5 weeks, versus the farc captors at 6 years. I then changed the channel to watch the Simpsons. Why. Sounds like CNN is posturing for ratings, though 5 weeks I am sure was a horrendous experience, it certainly pales when someone is held for 6 years.
