Sanjay Jha, thanks for getting this story out so quickly. It will now show up on the home page for four hours. If new developments justify it, I'll renew this flag for another cycle.

There's been a third explosion inside the Nariman House in Colaba, breaking the eerie silence for the third time in the last three hours. The building is still in darkness as the Army closes in. Snipers have taken position at Nariman House. About 100 commandos are closing in. Helicopters are circling above the building.
It's over 34 hours since Mumbai was taken over by terror. And there's still no end to the nightmare.
Operations are still on at Nariman House, the Taj Hotel and Oberoi Trident to flush out the remaining terrorists. There is report of one injured militant inside the Taj hotel.
Two to three terrorists are still in Nariman House but there are no more hostages inside.
At the Oberoi Trident, there are believed to be one or two terrorists inside but it's not clear if there are any hostages or how many people may still trapped in the hotel.
NSG commandos open fire from a chopper at Nariman house, where two to three terrorists are believed to be holed up.A witness said security forces fired into the building, apparently to provide cover, as commandos rappeled down a rope from the helicopter.
NSG snipers at the site of a besieged Jewish center in Mumbai have opened fire.
Sharpshooters in buildings opposite the headquarters of the ultra-orthodox Jewish outreach group Chabad Lubavitch began shooting early Friday as a helicopter circled overhead.
Militants were believed to be holed up inside the building - possibly with hostages.
Earlier, three fresh explosions rocked Nariman House early on Friday as security forces battled hard through the night to end the siege of Taj and Trident luxury hotels by heavily-armed terrorists as the death toll in the audacious strikes in ten places across the city climbed to 127.
As NSG commandos closed in on Nariman House, a Jewish residential complex in Colaba in south Mumbai, for a final assault, two explosions within a span of ten to 15 minutes slowed down their operation. A third explosion was heard at 4.47 am.
"The operation to clean up the Nariman House is still going on," Director General of National Security Guard (NSG) J K Dutt told reporters adding "it is just a matter of time and it will end soon".

Your right it is a shame to use terror to try to effect the outcome of elections. One only need to look to the Madrid Bombing to see that terrorists can be successful in changing the outcome of an election. I am not an expert in India Politics. I am hopeful that whatever desired outcome these terrorist wanted will not be realized.

I looked at the list of Victims again this Morning since one of our friends is in Mumbai on business and we have not heard from him.
As I went through I noticed that the victims where of all denomination, Nations and cultural Groups, Moslems, Hindu, Christian and others, Fortunately I could not find the Name of our friend, however they are many unknown still to be identified. I did read a name that did struck me though "Sanjay" and I hope it did not have any thing to do with you Sanjay Jha, or any one close to you.

You are making a good point here Milieunet, maybe less attention would in a way take away all the power from them. Difficult to do in today's high tech world.

Thats the tragedy of these killing stories , it feels we are helpless in the name of GOD.They can and always does kill anybody anywhere. The situation in Indian is totally different,it is turning out to be the heaven for prpoganda fueled by terrorist. The attitude of government is quite soft on terrorism front, they always start playing the card of religious politics by trading the dead bodies.Right know the elections are going on in several of the states and i am sure they will use even this bombing for their own purpose and do nothing to stop terrorism.

Politisite, isn't Sanjay based in New Delhi and not Mumbai, so you can't claim this is an eye witness report?
