Mumbai Attacks: Nariman House siege, five bodies found

Indian TV reports are suggesting that the Nariman House encounter had come to an end, However, Mumbai police commissioner Ghafur has said the operation is not yet over.
We had taken over the second floor of the house when grenade was launched from above. Three hostages were killed by terrorists before they moved upstairs, said J K Dutt. NSG commandos then moved upstairs to kill two terrorists on the fourth floor. Terrorists killed two hostages on this floor, he added.
Third floor is still to be secured by NSG, whose commandos are there, he said.
The fate of terrorists is still unclear--whether captured alive or killed.
The NSG is searching the building and adjacent areas as well.
A while ago, fresh explosions were heard at Nariman House. A portion of Nariman House was damaged after rocket propelled grenade were launched as part of terrorist flush-out operation. A gaping hole could be seen on the fourth floor in the Jewish residential complex.
Commandos in twos were seen from fourth floor to third floor in the five-storeyed Nariman House complex where some Israelis were been taken hostage by three-four terrorists
Smoke was seen billowing out of Nariman House complex.
Heavy gunfire and explosions rocked the besieged Chabad House in Mumbai Friday as commandos swept the building where Islamic terrorists were holding hostages.
Commandos had rappelled from helicopters to storm the center earlier Friday, two days after a chain of Islamic terrorist attacks across India's financial center left at least 143 people dead and the city in panic.
According to a security officer at the Israeli Embassy, the commando forces had taken control of the top floors of the building.
Israel's ambassador to India, Mark Sofer, said they believed there were up to nine hostages inside. Their fate was not clear. Sofer denied reports that Israeli commandos were taking part in the operation.
The hostages are believed to include four Israelis as well as Chabad Rabbi Gavriel Holtzberg and his wife, Rivka.
The Foreign Ministry said that a total of 17 Israelis were still unaccounted for in Mumbai.
Meanwhile, the Holtzberg's two-year-old son, Moshe, who was rescued from the attack on the Chabad House, was reunited with his grandparents, Shimon and Yehudit Rosenberg, who arrived from Israel to take custody of him.

Just a slight correction .It is the Chabad House, not an Israeli institution. It is a Jewish group that is world wide and supports Jewish visitors and residents in their respective countries. They generally provide comfort and support to a variety of travelers in the area, including Israelis.

Five bodies were found in the Jewish center in Mumbai after Indian security forces attacked gunmen there. The standoff has yet to endat the center.

According to Prof. Goldman from Columbia University School of Journalism who is familiar with the Chabad House in Mumbai, the (US) rabbi and his (Israel) wife died among the above report.

Lubavitch spokesman: Holtzberg couple killed in Mumbai
The Chabad-Lubavitch movement confirmed that Rabbi Gavriel Noach Holtzberg and his wife, Rivka, are among the dead in the terrorist attack in Mumbai's Chabad house.
Earlier reports stated five hostages were found dead when Indian commandos stormed the building. (AP)

Terror attack in Mumbai hotels and Nariman House left a strong message to all the peace-loving people in the world that, with the rise of radical Islam and millitancy within Madrassas, peace-loving community in the world are not safe at all. Many of the Muslim nations are gradually becoming havens of Islamist millitancy and breeding ground of Jihadists.
Pakistan in exporting terrorism in many countries. And it is continuing, because, most of the Muslim nations are anti Semitic, which is followed by anti Israel and anti West notion. The international community must look into this matter. Religious hatred and patronization of religious millitancy should not be allowed to grow any more.
