After keeping two weeks in theeir custody Mumbai Police will produce sole surviving Pakistani terrorist Ajmal Amir Kasav today in Local court to seek further custody. However, The Mumbai police crime branch will on Thursday move an application before a magistrate's court requesting the magistrate to hear the arrested Mumbai attacks terrorist Ajmal Amir Kasab's custody in the crime branch itself.

Under the Indian law Police are allowed a maximum of 14 days to interrogate a suspect Kasav's interrogation is unlikely to end any time soon. But Mumbai Police have  booked him in a dozen cases and in each one of them it reserves the right to have his custody for 14 days. Kasav is the first terrorist who has been captured alive after creating such a massive mayhem in recent time. All his nine other aides were gunned down by security forces. So Kasav is a vital source of information on who his mentors are, how he was trained and indoctrinated and what is the organisational structure of his handlers in Pakistan.

Ajmal, the sole terrorist of the group of ten to be arrested, has been in police custody since November 27 and has been kept in an undisclosed location since.

Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Rakesh Maria said Ajmal was likely to be produced in a magistrate's court at the Esplanade court house in south Mumbai.

The police said there were 12 cases registered in connection with the November 26 attacks and they could seek the custody of the arrested terrorist Ajmal in all the cases.

"We have booked Ajmal under sections like murder, attempt to murder, waging war against the nation, conspiracy and relevant sections of the Arms Act and Explosives Act," Maria said.
