Mummers Parade 2010 in Philadelphia, Parade Route, Photos, Videos

Along with the Rose Bowl Parade happening today, another big parade in the United States is the Mummers Parade in Philadelphia and thousands turn out to see the 110th parade. (Mummers Parade Route 2010).

This is a tradition in Philadelphia and local clubs compete with elaborate costumes, floats and performances.

Among those who felt the tradition keenly was Peter J. Broomall, the captain of Broomall String Band, started by his grandfather 80 years ago.

"Some get wrapped up in the competition. It's the tradition that's important," he said.

The parade is being televised on WPHL-TV and we will add photos and videos here as they become available.
