NP Rank:
Murder Of Child Leaves Community Traumatized (pt 1)
A Chaplain recently posed the question, Is Woodstock clinically depressed? Stephanie Van Troost owner of a Woodstock toy store answers “yes, the whole city is sad!” She states a noticeable difference in the frame of mind of her customers and that sales have declined dramatically since the announcement that 8 yr old Victoria (Tori) Stafford was murdered. “The atmosphere went from hope to despair” says Van Troost.
Charged with Tori’s abduction and reported murder are Terry-Lynne McClintic 18, and Michael Thomas Rafferty 28. Though arrests have been made, to the shocked and confused citizens of Woodstock more questions remain than answers and it is causing fear and uncertainty. Some here claim there has been misreporting by outside news media running with every possible thread of information. “The discrepancies are a problem as it adds to the fear and uncertainty here” says Van Troost.

I can understand the energy left behind in a small comunity after the ultimate crime of MURDER. Time is the healer The people will never forget the crime, too close to home and too brutal, commited by two misguided young people who are clearly suffering from mental meltdown.Yes am afraid it will take time.
