Murderous Secrets Need to Be Uncovered in Omaha, Ne

            My name is David Shurter and I did a previous video entitled I Need Help in Solving a Murder in which I am seeking any information I can find on a man who went missing in 1979 or so after going in search of his missing daughter- a man, most likely a policeman- that my family forced me to kill.  It is difficult to explain the complexities of the situation in which I find myself, let alone in a 10 minute video, and I have never liked being in front of the camera- so – added to the intensity of where I was and what I was saying- needless to say I was nervous.  Hopefully this will be better although – after I am finished- there are those who are going to think that I’m nuts.  Funny enough- I’ve been where you are- and that was exactly my mindset at the time.  However- things change- and now- for me- it has become a question of whether or not I will do what I believe is the right thing- regardless of the consequences.  After a lot of soul searching- I know unequivocally that there are times when one must stand- alone if need be- to do what he knows is right.  Some things must be defended- esp. those who cannot defend themselves, regardless of the cost.  So- with that- I want to explain why I think I have had to go to such extraordinary lengths to get a murder investigated.<?xml:namespace prefix = o />             After watching Brian Mastre, a local reporter I have been working with, defend the police this last week on television after they lost a prisoner, I began to realize things may not be as I thought they were.  After so many hits on my YouTube video, it was disheartening to find in my correspondence with Brian that he had not received any phone calls- although the first 70 hits- minus the 10 from my friends- had all been the media.  Quite honestly- although I could be wrong, I have not been able to shake the feeling that I have been lied to, which has pushed me to do yet another video- although this time I need to tell what I told the police and Brian Mastre- which may give some light to what is going on.             As outlandish as this may sound, the real story behind the Franklin Credit Union, the biggest scandal ever to hit Omaha- was that, in the 1970s, George Bush Sr.-as head of the CIA- was conducting secret experiments on the effects of extreme torture and fear on children in a funeral home in North Omaha.  This was one of the things that were happening with the children that disappeared in a rash of child abductions that happened here in the 1970’s- abductions that are well known and yet have never been investigated- let alone prosecuted.  I believe this is what Prosecuting Attorney Gary Caradory discovered when he and his 8 yr old son AJ were blown out of the sky.  Funny enough- after his death, all of the investigations into what was happening in Omaha stopped abruptly.             It has been hard for me to accept that the very year I try to have this investigated- 100 police- an unprecedented amount for Omaha and unfortunately the very people that could help with this- all retire suddenly.  Two weeks before the police chief himself retired abruptly- President Bush himself was in town.  I cannot help but feel that all of this is because they realize the same thing I do- that although the 100’s of reports police received from the children being abused at the time may have disappeared- chances are- the victims who made those reports haven’t.  And neither now are they children. Chances are- there are people out there who remember a big white house- a funeral home- decorated in over the top Victorian décor- with every room a parlor.  Perhaps they remember the closets that lead to passageways- and a terrible game of hide and seek, a game in which if you were found you were killed.  Passageways that were tunnels- that went from so dark you couldn’t see to so bright you were blind- all the while having a hard time thinking because you were so drugged and terrified because you could hear the screams of children being tortured beyond the confines in which you were hiding.             Perhaps there are people who remember as children the gatherings in Hummel Park- where child after child was raped on the grand staircase.   Maybe they will remember how the entrances to the north side of the park were blocked, and the so-called Devils Head was not so much a talisman as it was a lookout point on which you could see the traffic for miles in both directions.  And lastly- maybe they will remember the scary band of drunken, drugged up pedophiles and they cult like behavior.             Maybe some of you remember as I did- as reoccurring nightmares that I believed could never be real.  However- I would be willing to bet this is a reoccurring theme in the documents that no longer exist, esp. considering I have spoken to several people who have had the same reoccurring nightmares.  How is this even possible- unless it is not a dream- but a series of memories.Personally- with as many problems as George Bush has in his presidency- to say that he would not be concerned with a situation that could shift the debate of whether the Bush Administration tortures people to exactly how long he and his family have been practicing the art and exactly who they have tortured before we had camps around the world, seems unlikely.  Neither George Bush Sr. nor George Bush Jr.  were born a president- they were born men- like the rest of us- so to speak, and therefore- in a position of power or not- they are subject to the laws of man- just like the rest of us.  And though this may surprise them- they are definitely subject to the laws of God.              And to those who may consider me a conspiracy theorist- let me ask you a question.  Had I come to you 10 yrs ago and told you that the Catholic Church would be almost bankrupt due to a conspiracy to protect, hide, and reroute a bunch of pedophile priests- what would you have said.  More importantly- what do you know now.             Interestingly enough, from the research I have been able to do on this (since I was a child when forced to endure this and obviously was not privy to the explanations of the how and why), I have discovered that not only are there allegations that the Catholic Church is involved with aiding in this whole mess but that Boystown itself was guilty of involving children in this.             One case illustrating the blatant lack of investigation into the abductions that happened in the 70s is a case involving Todd Bequette.  Todd was abducted as a child in the old market- which seemed to be a hunting ground for children at the time.  The police did nothing and in fact it was a private detective named Denny Whelan that found him.  Afterwards- the man was never prosecuted in the abduction of Todd- and in fact was never even charged in Nebraska.  As an adult- Todd hasn’t been able to get anything about his case- no paperwork of any kind.  It is as though Todd Bequette was never abducted.  I have only spoken with Todd a few times via email- and he has told me that he does not believe his case has anything to do with anything that involved the Franklin Credit Union.  I believe he is right- but I have a feeling he- and the children that he was forced to lure- have everything to do with the case that I am speaking about.  If nothing else- The Todd Bequette case seems to me a big shiny red flag- leaving me with the question why- if so many children were being abducted at the time- why was there never any investigation into it, let alone prosecutions.                                    If the city of Omaha can afford to give such extravagant retirement plans to their police force- then surely they can afford an investigation into such heinous accusations, esp. considering those accusations have been made before.  And to those who received the generous pensions- surely you realize that this is unfinished business that happened on your watch, and you must understand that it is totally unfair to ask the citizens of Omaha to pay so handsomely for a job that wasn’t done- although surely- in the decades these allegations have been out there- there was ample time to do a thorough investigation.  After all- people like Alecia Owen were sent to prison for years after making allegations- so- as such- there must be some paperwork that can show what did- and did not happen- in Omaha involving children abductions and abuse.   Whatever the case, I am sure that Omaha’s finest will rise to the challenge and do what must be done.  After all- as Omaha Police- to not protect our children and to not prosecute those who do is a major dereliction of duties, and obviously is not the legacy that anyone wishes to leave.             I believe we as a society must stop this double standard of justice- our leaders must be held accountable for their actions just as we- the people they serve- are held accountable for ours.  What happened to me at 12 has been called the Rite of Accountability- where you are forced to do a crime so you can’t talk, otherwise you will be held accountable and go to jail.  This is the rub though- I am doing this because I am holding myself accountable- and because I believe this is the right thing to do- I am not going to stop.  So Fred- dear friend of Alan Baer of 35 years- it makes no difference how many death threats you infer my way- I am not going to stop until I find healing and closure for those who have been hurt by this mess.  I feel an obligation to do this.  But it is like I said in the card I sent you- do not let old age overcome you before you make this right because if you do- I fear the consequences of your behavior will be dire.  As a man of god- you should realize that in the end- God will not be denied.  Your behavior pains me because I considered you a very dear friend- however, judging by your threats- you are not only involved- but have something to hide as well.              My next step hopefully is to set up a contest.  If the police won’t look into this- perhaps there are a collection of amateur investigators who would like to try.  One way or another- this is going to be looked at.  We live in a different day and age- where secrets are not as easily kept as they once were.            These allegations are far from new.  What IS new is that they are being made by someone whose family was intimately connected with this.  As strange is it may sound- I believe we are at a turning point in society- and to fight for the darkness is to be owned by the darkness.  Like it or not- at one point or another- every one of us is going to face God.  As such- I have no intention of stopping until this is made right, because it is simply the right thing to do.

            I can’t tell you who to call- I wish I knew myself.  Maybe just send out the word- and we can reach some point of closure in this together as a people.  Funny enough- I really feel like God is with me in this, so any prayers you could offer that these people find closure, healing, and peace would be great.  Thanks again – and I will most likely be seeing you later.             Peace.
