Murtha seat filled by staffer Critz

Johnstown PA is pretty much a typical American small town except it has benefited from powerful representation in Washington DC. Congressman Murtha brought home the bacon that resulted in several impressive office buildings, some designed by world-class architects. They have an airport, a mini-convention center, and the trappings of a larger city just scaled to size. All of that was possible because Washington representatives were committed to taking care of the electorate.

Now, there is a huge vacuum, a financial loss, that is resulting in hundreds of people losing their government-funded jobs. Many crooks have been identified in the process, people taking government money without earning it. So, change is a good thing in feriting out the bad.

The people did the right thing by filling Murtha's seat with someone who has the best chance to rebuild because he knows the process. Voting for Critz, the community has one foot in the past and one on the path to a better future. In between there will be some really bad times, I think.

Only in PA could it be a good idea to vote in an insane man's staffer to replace an insane man. A decorated American soldier actively working against American soldiers currently in a war zone... And he gets re-elected. There's a reason God wiped Johnstown off the map once. In a great irony He's letting intellectual Darwinism wipe it off the map a second time.

I respect your honest and straightforward opinion. I don't know about Murtha's sanity, I do know that he worked hard for military spending and that he got a share of it for his community.

Just becasue someone opposes war doesn't mean the he opposes soldiers.

Much of the up-armor work that is saving lives in Iraq and Afghanistan was installed in Johnstown PA and from the state that produces steel.
