Musharraf going to step down shortly: report

<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 />Pakistan’s beleaguered President Pervez Musharraf is shortly going to announce his resignation in his address to the nation on radio and television after a short while, a private television channel has reported quoting informed sources.

Reports also said that Musharraf has moved to the President’s Office in Islamabad from the Army House of his camp office in the adjoining city of Rawalpindi. The Express television channel has also reported that after stepping down, Musharraf is going to stay in the country. Earlier reports said that he would be leaving the country to settle abroad and a Saudi plane is already present at Islamabad Airport to take him to Saudi Arabia for a short stay before settling in any other country.
