The libray that was established by The British during colonial era still stands tall in Musosorie.This is story about the Library that still holds more than 40,000 rare books including travelogues.

Many people may be unaware that the majestic and ancient-looking library of the Victorian architecture still stands tall in the town as a testimony to the colonial past. Situated at the one end of the Mall Road, the Library Bazar has also been named after the majestic building that has stood the test of changing times.

According to eminent author and honorary secretary of the Mussoorie Library Ganesh Saili, the historic building has a rare collection of around 40,000 books, which are still in a good condition. The members of the library include the literati like Ruskin Bond, Hugh and Colleen Gantzer and eminent journalists like Pranoy Roy (NDTV), to name a few.
