N_ Korean Instability and China Relations

Two journalists filming across the Yalu River from China were arrested and taken into custody by N. Korean military.  S. Korean media allege that the N. Koreans crossed into Chinese territory to capture the US citizens.

Tensions between the US and N. Korea have been rising amid sabre rattling on the part of N. Korea.

Two US journalists of Korean descent and their guide have been detained by North Korean border guards close to the frontier with China, South Korean media reports have said.

It is believed that the two women journalists, working for a California-based online news company Current TV, were on the China side of the Yalu river, which forms border with North Korea, when they were arrested.

It sounds like they were playing with fire and got burned. If the North Korean border guards crossed into Chinese territory to do it I am sure that the Chinese government will have something to say about it. The US government needs to work with the Chinese government to secure the release of the journalist and their guide (which is likely Chinese). In either case the US should not deal directly with North Korea and South Korea should keep out of it all together.

THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA  is the real immediate threat to Humanity , not N. Korea._______________________________________________________________
