NP Rank:
Nader, Moore, and the Market Predict Obama's Running Mate
Who does Nader think it's going to be?
Count Ralph Nader as unimpressed by the crop of supposed finalists to be Barack Obama’s running mate.
“I don’t think he’s that dumb,” said Nader, commenting on widespread speculation that Obama’s choices are down to Sens. Joe Biden, Evan Bayh, or Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine.
The smart pick, according to Nader, is Hillary Rodham Clinton. Nader phoned into Politico Tuesday afternoon to offer his prediction that a surprise nod to Clinton is actually what Obama has in store—never mind the talk of mistrust between the Clintons and Obama.
“He just has to swallow hard and do what JFK did” in picking rival Lyndon Johnson in 1960, said the liberal activist and maverick presidential candidate.
The media is reporting that Senator Obama has narrowed his alternatives to three men: Joe Biden, Evan Bayh and Tim Kaine. They're all decent fellows, but they are far from the core of what the Obama campaign has been about: Change. Real change. Out with the old. And don't invade countries that pose no threat to us.
As for Governor Kaine of Virginia, his big problem is, well, Obama's big problem -- who is he? The toughest thing Barack has had to overcome -- and it will continue to be his biggest obstacle -- is that too many of the voters simply don't know him well enough to vote for him.
What Obama needs is a vice presidential candidate who is NOT a professional politician, but someone who is well-known and beloved by people across the political spectrum; someone who, like Obama, spoke out against the war; someone who has a good and generous heart, who will be cheered by the rest of the world; someone whom we've known and loved and admired all our lives and who has dedicated her life to public service and to the greater good for all.
That person, Caroline, is you.
I cannot think of a more winning ticket than one that reads: "OBAMA-KENNEDY."
Based on the price of last trades the market thinks it's going to be Biden at 30.5%, then Bayh at 21.8%, Kaine at 19.9%, Sebelius at 13.9%, and Hillary Clinton at 12.6%.
I think I speak for all of us when I say: PICK A CANDIDATE ALREADY!

BigT, I like this story. It's good stuff. Fox Opinion poll shows that Clinton is the best choice , Biden is second. Clinton has the baggage and Biden has a mouth that will get him in trouble.
The poll does give Obama a better advantage to win with Clinton. For MCain, folks want Romney. Romney and Biden can go at it in VEEP debates well. Maybe even a punch or two will be thrown.
