NADRA Pakistan ( National Database and Registration Authority ) Facilitation Or Frustration

NADRA ( National Database and Registration Authority ) claim to be one of the most succesful project in the modern history of Pakistan.

But few days ago, i got a chance to visit NADRA's office in karachi with a friend of mine who wished to renew his expired id card. There i found out that what public complain about the difficulties faced by them in achieving new id card, is really toughest procedure.

My Friend's Experience = " I will never ever come again to renew my id card " comments by him as he tried to renew and to update his residential address as a responsible and educated citizen of ( Karachi ) Pakistan. " It took more then 3 days running here and there bringing out the various kind of documents, attestation by only specific persons of that that grade and after fulfilling all their requirements and procedure, the day they asked me to collect the id card, when i reached at the destination i was greeted by that i could not receive my card as due to some kind of conflict in new and old residential addresses " ...... So again bring those documents and do this and that ..... the same home documents i showed them first day, again this time they verified and accepted ..... now do this and that ! As a result of all this confused nadra's procedure he chanhed his mind to apply to renew his id card and change of address.

The very interesting mistake i observed on the first day visit at nadra's office karachi , was an elderly lady cusing and yelling at the Nadra's staff and authorities, as after paying the urgent fees and even telling everything during the form filling procedure ( This form is filled by the nadra staff , along with the recent photo snap on time ), she was complaining that after wasting time and energy, what Nadra's so called highly qualified educated and trained staff wrote in her form :-

Marital Status : Divorced

Currently Residing With : Husband

As a result when she went to attest her form, the form was rejected and that lady was really angry at Nadra's staff " This is the responsibility and care the senior citizens and elderly lady deserve in Islamic Sultanat Of Pakistan ( Islamic Republic Of Pakistan ) ". Further she commented," this is like many others biggest failed projects in the history of Pakistan ". Thank to that lady who allowed me to capture this interesting mistake snap and to share with world.

But over all such minor mistakes really create anger and frustration among people, as they try to perform their responsibility as a responsible citizen, but when they face too many problems, confusions and misguidance by the concerned departments, they change their mind to further struggle.
