Japan has it’s own new conspiracy theory.

Hisayasu Nagata, a former MP and a former Japanese lawmaker. He graduated from Keio Shiki Boys' Senior High School in 1988, Tokyo University in 1993, and then entered the Finance Ministry. He took a leave of absence to study for an MBA at UCLA in 1995. He resigned his position in 1999 to run for the Lower House in Chiba Prefecture.

He jumped to his death from an apartment block. Has been concluded as suicide by Police in a public statement earlier today.

What makes it suspicious though for some, is the fact that he resigned from Government after making accusation of corruption with in the Government, wish where never proven though.  Nevertheless, he was a controversial figure in Japanese Politics, steering up much political dust.

Police said that he left a suicide note and was suffering from Sociological problems. He was the MP for the town of Kitakyushu and a rising star in Japanese Politics, and the hope of his Democratic Party of Japan.

Police refused any further statements or the release of details to this suicide.

Thanks very much for your post. Very sad story. Any idea why he did it?

At this point one can only speculate, since the Police does refuse or can not issue any further statements. This off course lets the rumour and conspiracy weal's overheat.

suicide is a weird means of establishing ones political goals. When someone has many political enemies and commits suicide all the sudden, it is suspicious indeed!

Sad to see a young life wasted if it was suicide, sad if he was killed too.
