Caracas, Venezuela, 26 June 2008. Today, Venezuelan Minister for Information and Communication - Andres Izarra - informed of the celebration of a Non Aliagnment Movement (NAM) Conference on Media  to be held in Margarita Island from 2 to 4 July 2008.  This VII NAM Conference of Ministers of Information (COMINAC) will attempt a revival of the Broadcasting Organizations of the Non-Aligned Countries (BONAC).

Venezuela intends to revive the New World Information Order (NWIO) which caused many casualties at UNESCO in the past. Due to its content, US, UK and Singapore left UNESCO taking away their financial contributions which represnt almost half its budget.

The Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) was founded in April 1955 during notorious cold war confrontations. It is an international organization of 118 member states considering themselves not aligned with any major power bloc. It has held six Conferences of Minister of Information.
