Isabella, Alexandre Nardoni's daughter, was 5 years old when she was found injured in the garden of the building where her father and stepmother, Anna Carolina Jatoba, lived in the north of Sao Paulo on March 29, 2008.

The father and stepmother were the only ones charged by the police, they denied the charges and argue that the crime was committed by a person who broke into the apartment.

The couple was blamed for beating, choking and throwing the girl through the window of the apartment building were they lived in the north of Sao Paulo city, called "Edificio London".

Alexandre Nardoni was sentenced to 31 years. Anna Carolina Jatoba penalty was 26 years and eight months. The two took eight extra months in prison for fraud by obstruction of justice because, according to the decision, they changed the crime scene.

For two years the Brazilian population followed the unfolding of this case that got great expression into major media and for the last five days crowds of people staid outside the Forum were the couple was been trailed.

Many cried as the verdict was announced (on Saturady earlly minutes - 03/27) by Judge Mauricio Fossen. Cheers were heard all over the court house surroundings. The crowds shouting "Justice done" and Izabella´s name.
