Liam Neeson's wife Natasha Richardson is apparently suffering from a serious brain injury after being hurt during a skiing trip in Quebec.

While actual details of her health have been hard to come by (a number of sites yesterday were claiming she was dead), her two young sons were seen leaving Lenox Hill Hospital in New York earlier on Wednesday.

Richardson fell during a ski lesson on Mont Tremblant on a beginner hill on Monday. She seemed fine at first but felt "unwell" about an hour after the incident. She was taken to hospital in Ste-Agathe before being transferred to Lenox Hill Hospital.

After not initially showing signs of injury, Richardson reported feeling unwell about an hour after the incident.

She was first brought to the Centre Hospitalier Laurentien in Ste-Agathe before being transferred to Sacre Coeur Hospital in Montreal.

OK! magazine had reported on its Web site that Richardson had died after her loved ones decided to take her off life support Tuesday. However, the story was later removed without an immediate explanation. Time Out New York also reported her death on its Web site Tuesday, but later issued an apology stating Richardson was brain dead, but still alive.

Natash was a great actress. I loved her in the parent trap remake.  she and dennis made a believable couple. She's the only actress that i ever wanted to write to get her autograph or a picture. but i never got the chance too.

I feel so badly for her family  especially her husband and her boys.  Hollywood  had lost one of the best. She can never be replaced and she will never be forgotten.

Rest in peace Natasha.
