Nationalism, racialism or just plain EU hate-ism?
Gordon Brown and his cronies has a big problem on their hands, Not so long ago he Gordon, declared that his government wanted to provide and supported “British Jobs for British workers.” But it would seem since that political statement in 2007 that more and more employment opportunities have gone to foreigners and British workforce has seen more and more redundancies to jobs taken over by citizens of EU.
At present there is a strike action against a French owned oil giant called Total UK, of whom are employing a Italian workforce. Now this may sound that such action will not come to much due to the UK’s 1992 Trade Relationship Act of which is was designed to stop strikes such as seen in the early 1980’s in UK. But New Labour will find that when the British workforce are really fed up to the teeth with stupidity such laws are thrown to the wind.
At the last time Labor ruled the roost in UK back in the eighties the British workforce practically crippled UK. Now that most British citizens are anti EU and that members of the EU are walking in and taking their jobs the unions are getting very itchy feet. With the global financial fiasco cool down and the hype at it lowest point. UK opposition party is nibbling at new angles to get at Gordon Browns government at the end of its administrative hold on British politics.
As with Labour long term administration prior to this present one the Tory parties allies where the very trade unions that see the formation of the Labour movement. Once again I see the traces that UK trade unions are completely fed up with the Labour leadership. I feel a bit wary that the basic problem has a racialist note that the nationalist parties will try to make hay of why the sun is shining.
But the interesting twist is the French oil company would never get away with using an Italian workforce in France and that the French government unlike most other governments in the world are frightened of the actions of its own citizens. On this note I am pondering what would happen if most of the British work force came out on strike would any future British government have to treat its citizens with kid’s gloves as the French government do.
In fact the French government problem could soon be a problem seen in most nations of the world with the people having the last say in how their country is run and the elite being held back from their sleazy ambitions. But of course people need to wake up worldwide to realize the real power they could possess. It of course will never happen and someone else always will step in to take control of the people for their own objective reasons. The French government still holds some power over the people, but they can not overstep the people’s needs as people just go out on strike.
