NATO Ministers Endorse Wider Afghan Effort
BRATISLAVA, Slovakia — Defense ministers from NATO on Friday endorsed the ambitious counterinsurgency strategy for Afghanistan proposed by Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal, giving new impetus to his recommendation to pour more troops into the eight-year-old war.
Well it would seem that the reporter has not caried out thorough research as Obama has all ready commited to sending 21,000 plus troops to Afghanistan.
I broke this news earlier today..
Developed a comprehensive new strategy on Afghanistan and Pakistan and authorized deployment of more than 21,000 U.S. troops to Afghanistan.
The White House web page is full of information this being just one of the commitment Obama has taken, the rest are concerning keeping promises made earlier to the American citizens. Perhaps earth shattering news to the republicans, Obama is actual doing things and not just talking about it.
Remember in this case its to shorten the war so as to get the troops back on US soil.

I understand they have endorsed a universal draft for all men and women between 18 and 40 as well (and includes Canada).
