Nazi Hunters Close in on "Dr. Death"

A spokesman for the Simon Weisenthal Center has announced that the organization is hot on the trail of a fugitive death camp doctor named Aribert Heim, who is believed to be hiding in Argentina or southern Chile.
Heim, who would be 94, tops the center's list of most-wanted Nazi war criminals. A reward of $495,000 is being offered jointly by the center and the German and Austrian governments for information leading to his capture.
Heim, known as "Dr. Death," was indicted in Germany on charges he murdered hundreds of inmates at Mauthausen concentration camp, where he was camp doctor.
"His crimes are fully documented by himself, because he kept a log of the operations that he carried out," Zuroff said. "He tortured many inmates before he killed them at Mauthausen, and he used body parts of the people he killed as decorations."
After World War II, Heim was held for two and a half years by the United States military but was released without being tried.
He disappeared in 1962, when he was tipped off that the indictment by German authorities was imminent, according to Zuroff.

Jordan, Has I wrote on Zichi San his story this needs a much deeper look and a follow up!

You do make a good point Zichi San! I do agree with all of what you are saying here in your reply to my comment! Never the less I believe this issue deserves much more and deeper research! Even though I am aware that time is a factor and that this is neither a paying job nor our life. Reason why I have not tackled this yet! It is much bigger than most of us can imagine or handle! Allied forces took some of the still missing Gold and are quiet happy every one is chasing one Man in South America that is most likely dead so no one can come after the good officers of the Allied Forces that collected on this!
Strange is that no one did ever go after W. Von Braun, the father of the V1 and V2 as well as the Apolo and the space shuttle! America needed him for he was the only one that knew how to make it work! He was the head of NASA! Never tried never even mentioned yet he used KZ camp prisoners for his experiments! Same with some other Scientist! We should run after the US Government and hold them accountable as well! I forgot they help Israel and there for can not be persecuted! Those little angels!

I always have problems with these stories! I know he did terrible things and should have been punished. But, but, but. The world is still experiencing people who are doing terrible things today! To me, they are more important to catch and stop than some 94 year old!
