Just to clear up any confusion:
Yesterday politisite did have his story up about Tim Russert's death before anyone else, and this was an oversight on the part of NP's staff. We apologize for this.

In all fairness, something was going on with the system yesterday. In fact, I emailed Jordan to alert him after some of my stories failed to appear on the front page in various categories until after I had UPDATED them two or three times. Given our changeover to new stuff, I figured it was a system problem and would, like others in transition,be fixed as soon as staff was aware and could get it done.

That's true - thanks for adding that. Yes we are still working out the 'glitches' but luckily most of them are fixed by now. Stories are now appearing on the site in the order they are posted to hopefully avoid any future problems.

So few people can be best described with the Yiddish word, mensch! A mensch is a gentleman, an honorable person, a believer, a leader and a follower, a learned person and a fair and honest person. It is the most notable and honorable adjective a person can earn. Tim Russert was indeed a mensch and will be missed for what he stood for and the manner in which he stood for it. May God bless you and help your family in this most difficult time.
