politisite, I like this story. It's good stuff. Great Coverage of the Indiana and North Carolina Primaries. I am watching the results of the Indiana Primary on MSNBC on May 6, 2008 at 6:55PM EST. Clinton is winning with 61% compared to Obama's 39% with 3% of the vote counted in Indiana. The polls have closed in Indiana. On May 6, 2008 at 7:05 PM EST, with 5% of the vote counted; Clinton 59% and Obama 41%.

CNN is projecting that Obama will win the North Carolina primary.

politisite, Indiana is a total nail-biter.  This could be the closer Obama is looking for?

You are right.  CBS may be eating crow.  All the others delayed due to Lake and Union County be out still in IN

No crow for CBS news.  Clinton pulled out the win but Rush Limbaugh will take credit

Detailed breakdown. :) But did Lake County's initial refusal to submit  ballot counts as they came in leave a bad taste in anyone's mouth? Brows were raised for varied reasons.

The spin by the Clinton camp is that it was held back to keep her from Claiiming victory.  The folks in Lake county say that the 11,000 absentee ballots took many hours to count.  Other counties had no problem counting the absentees, but someone up there would not count until a certin time.  I think it depends on what side you are on.  keep in mind that a heavy Clinton county reported results at 3:00 am.  That county was only about 2500 votes total.
