NDP and Liberals use Sikhs to denounce a very good gesture from the PM of Canada Stephen Harper
The real reason for Sikhs to denounce a perfectly good gesture from the Canadian government is that the liberal party is not ready for elections hence is using liberal and NDP Sikhs to make sure that the PM Stephen Harper resumes parliament which might not happen otherwise.Harper might not resume parliament and probably will call the elections right after the by elections in mid September

Point to be noted here is that the Liberals were in power for decades and have not done anything about the Kamagata Maru incident.but are quick to criticize when something was done.

Liberals are cash strapped and are losing support within the Canadian masses hence came up with propaganda like this,Liberals are known to do nothing but talk a lot.

Conservative government has been the one to do something about this issue since it actually happened a 100 years later.

I salute PM Stephen Harper (in the minority government) for taking the initiative and doing the right thing which none of the past Liberal Prime ministers had the courtesy to do even though they were in majority government.Shame on liberals for even making it an issue.
