Nepal Government working to reduce power outage by 6 hours

Reeling under intese power problem there is a good news for Nepali people. Government is making preparations to cut down the ongoing 14 hour power outage by six hours by the first week of March.

Talking to the journalists after a meeting with the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) under the Legislature-Parliament today, Secretary at the Water Resources Minsitry Shankar Koirala informed about the government's preparation to cut down the load-shedding hours by six hours within first week of March.

According to Koirala, the government has been preparing to import 60 MW of electricity from India.

He also said that the tower that was ravaged by the Koshi floods last year will be reconstructed.

PAC had discussed with Minister and secretaries at the Water Resources Ministry about the ongoing load-shedding problem, hydro-electricity projects, among other subjects in the meeting held at Singha Durbar.
