New anomalies discovered in the "Obama Birth Documents"

The investigation continues into the validity of the recently released Certificate Of Live Birth by the Obama administration.

Recently a small group of individuals approached the the investigation by using low tech forensic techniques instead of digital editors and Wikipedia. 

"We looked at the problem from a anachronistic mindset" Says the lead investigator who wishes to remain anonymous. "What would Sherlock Holmes have done? we asked ourselves". The team began by printing out several copies of certificate # 61-10641, and then shedding some light on the problem in a literal sense. "The simplest solutions are sometimes the best" he added pointing to an incandescent powered tracing box on the workbench. "It is elegant in its simplicity!"

What the team revealed was the existence of many un accounted for spacing problems concerning lettering, punctuation and wording height mostly along what should be the same linear horizontal path in a typical typing line but also between each vertical typed line. 

"The first thing we checked was to see if all the lines were evenly spaced from each other, and before you put two pieces of the document on a light box, the do seem to be" But "not so" he said as he used a pointer stick to direct my attention to the now illuminated box.  "And now for some magic" and with a wave of his wand my attention was directed to the box as he slid the top paper down a couple typed lines from the bottom sheet "Now the problems become glaringly apparent!" 

"What we found first is that in the line containing 2-5b, the date and time are out of line with each other and were obviously typed at seperate times, another key indicator here is the comma which has a non standard mechanical spacing from the 4 meaning it could not have been typed directly after, it was either put in later manually or it is an indicator of digital manipulation." He further explained that if you draw a line from the center of the comma through the center of period in section 5a & 5b, it dissects the two 4's in those lines in much different areas. "It just does not make any rational sense why the vertical height and the horizontal typed spacing of that 4 is off with the rest of that line". He slid the paper again and went on with the explanation "See the box's ticked with x's in sections 6d and 7e? now follow the straight line I just put at the bottom of each x to the left, see how it is out of line with the other typing on that line? it was obviously not typed start to finish! Both other documented birth certificates from this period show the typing and the x'ed boxes to be in the same horizontal plane!" When I asked what this proved, he said "Nothing really!, It just shows that compared to two other documents of the period, this one is unique in more ways than just being the birth certificate of the current President, if you measure all the different sections you find that there was no 'tab' setting used, and no 'left margin set', which is odd for a time period when the typewriter was king." he went on "Every line has a variable vertical difference from the next, something you do not see with typewriters, something you do not see in the other two known examples" he then grinned and said "Oh and how about a little word fun? Line the two sections with Obama's full name up, starting with Barack and what do you get? Barack Husseinn ObamaObama II, sound like a clue from a Dan Brown novel to me! The Second Coming?" he said with a sly laugh "Oh now I am starting to sound like a Birther".

Here is a bullet list of things to look for

• Spacing variances both vertical and horizontal that do not match to other typed sections forwards or backwards between two viewed sheets. You can use a window in daylight or even a computer monitor to assist.
  
• compare the two stamped images for slight variation in the angle of "Aug"
• Look at differences in the P.m and A.m spacings between known certificates (61-10641 61-10637 & 62-08498)
• line up "like letters" in all parts of the document and compare to spacings of others around it

He also gave me a list of "conspiratorial" type things to check out for fun. 

• Look at the almost identical signatures of the Registrar in the Obama and the Coats certificates
• Look at the similar signed style for patient dates (7 - 61) in the Obama and Nordyke certificates
• Find other "real" signatures online for Ann Dunham Obama and notice how this early Obama Signature is more defined and steady handed than later versions, take particular note of the O.
• If possible find an old Royal typewriter (Arrow or FP) as that is what the font appears to be, and attempt to type up a "duplicate" and see what you find out.
  
• Draw grids on the birth certificate with all known straight lines, then further grid individual letters and many unexplainable spacing problems become obvious

 While there is yet to be a smoking gun for either side in this Saga of legitimate birth, it could be fun to set down the Sudoku or crossword for an evening and play "Where's Waldo?".
