New Beginning 2009
Best New Year Wishes for all my friends and everyone at NowPublic!
I took some pictures in my garden this last day of the year. Beautiful flowers are blooming, then I went inside and looked at a dry bouquet of flowers from my son's wedding, such contrast, so much beauty in so many different ways. There's the desert flower that thrives on little water and extreme conditions, the tree that blooms but gives no fruit, dry flowers that hold milestone moments in our life, then we have the trees about to give fruit and the tree renewing its leaves, the little bush that dried up and you have forgotten to throw away . All at once... all hidden treasures of metaphoric wisdom, with it's triumphs and challenges, natural processes, the beauty of our lives, the beauty of our gardens. It is there for you, plant new things, prune, out root, it's yours. Remember some things you planted last year will bloom in time this year perhaps.
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
3 John 1:2As I was meditating on the words soul the last day of the year. It caught my attention how quantum physics defines soul: The soul is the observer that interprets and makes choices. It interprets through memory and makes choices through desire.
A new year always brings a new opportunity to desire making new choices, choices of peace and love and freedom.
It is also said the heart is the seat of your soul, keeping your heart free of past burdens, pursuing restoration will bring you peace, love health and new beginnings.Psalm 23
A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness. For His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever.
