New Bin Laden Tape Calls Obama Powerless to Stop Afghanistan War

Osama Bin Laden was last heard in June talking about President Obama planting a seed of "hate and revenge" towards the United States in the Muslim world. In the meantime the Al-Riydha newspaper announced that Bin Laden's brother, Thabet Bin Laden, one of the 54 brothers had died.

Thabet bin Laden was one of the 54 sons of late construction magnate Mohammed bin Laden, a poor Yemeni immigrant who started the family contracting business in the 1930s that grew into a multimillion dollar construction empire.

A new audio tape of Bin Laden was released by al-Qaeda saying "The time has come for you to liberate yourselves from fear and the ideological terrorism of neo-conservatives and the Israeli lobby" a statement towards the American people.

"If you think about your situation well, you will know that the White House is occupied by pressure groups," Bin Laden said.

"Rather than fighting to liberate Iraq -- as Bush claimed -- it (the White House) should have been liberated."

The audio did show a photo of Bin Laden, but sources are not sure if the voice of Bin Laden. Osama tells the American people that President Obama is powerless and "If you stop the war, then fine. Otherwise we will have no choice but to continue our war of attrition on every front."

In the message, the al-Qaeda leader accuses the new president of failing to fundamentally change foreign policy because of his decision to retain key figures from the previous administration, including Defence Secretary Robert Gates

Then Bin Laden went on talking about President Obama and if he tries to change the course in Afganistan because of pressure groups his "fate will be feared" and will be like the assassination of President John Kennedy and his brother Robert.
