New Mexico Area Code Change Complete

The year of transitioning away from the 505 area code has come to a close. From now on, all long distance calls must use the new 575 number.  For those of us affected by the change, it marks the end of an era. The numbers 505 will forever be synonymous with New Mexico for me. Not only will this change affect long distance calls, but businesses will also have to make changes.  Business cards, letterhead, web sites… all contact information should be changed by now. Ironically, the Las Cruces Sun News still lists the old number on their contact page.
