New Zealand: Negotiating history - Waitangi Treaty claims soar as deadline passes

The New Zealand Herald newspaper is reporting that claims by indigenous Maori seeking remuneration for past unjust agreements made by the Crown  in violation of the Treaty of Waitangi have skyrocketed.
