Newly elected Pakistani MPs take oath

ISLAMABAD, March 17: Newly elected members of Pakistan’s National Assembly took oath as the lower house of bicameral Parliament met amid unprecedented security measures here Monday.


The inaugural maiden session of the National Assembly began with outgoing Speaker Chaudhry Amir Hussain in the chair. He administered oath to 328 newly elected members of the 342-member National Assembly.
