News Blackout in Sri Lanka

COLOMBO - Higher authorities in Sri Lanka instructed all the media personals and news outlets not to publish any reports from Vanni war front as many unconfirmed reports making rounds in the capital and beyond.
Earlier on Saturday, the SL army accused the Tamil Tigers, blasting the Kalmadukulam Tank and created a catastrophe situation. Military sources say that two of the villages SL troopers advanced recently fully submerged in the water. However sources close to Tamil Tigers deny any Tiger involvement in blasting the Kalmadukulam Tank.
The troop movedon on the A35 towards Mulatitivu reached Udyar Kattu. The water flood cut those troops at Ramanathapuram, isolating them from their backup at Paranthan, said an army source to TNS.
Both sides keeping tight lips on what transpired on Saturday at the Wanni war front. There are many stories making rounds in the capital about the fate of the troops and heavy military assets they had with them.
The heavy handed way the higher authorities treating this episode, creating more suspicion on what really transpired in Ramanatharuram. As the hours and days grow, there is unease in the capital Colomb
