When I first read this Story in the Times of India website,,, I was really angry and disturbed by this Bold new step of implying MORALE POLICING and decided to give my comments on it, as this time the so called immoral youth were at their homes , no drugs, so what was the crime????? Dancing to music and alcohol???
There were people who have also expressed their anger on similar terms on this article at the sight….
PUNE: There was shock and disbelief among parents and the legal community after police raided a private party in a Lonavla bungalow early Thursday and arrested 29 youths celebrating the birthday of a friend.
Cops charged the youths, aged between 20 and 25, with obscene behaviour, playing loud music and possessing and drinking liquor without permit. A court sent them to police custody till Friday. There were nine girls among those arrested. Three of the youths were from Pune and the rest from Mumbai. They were taken for medical tests before produced in a court.
The youths were celebrating the birthday of their friend, a son of a builder. The builder owns the bungalow at Ryewood Park.
Senior inspector Balraj Lanjile of Lonavla police said nine litres of foreign liquor worth Rs 5,700 and a music system were seize from the bungalow. Lanjile said police heard loud music playing from Ryewood Park area at around 1.30 am. ‘‘I sent two constables to check what was going on. They found more than 25 youngsters dancing with bottles of liquor,’’ he said.
Then to get more details about the incident, I researched and came across the same incident report in the Pune Mirror, where this actually happened!!!
This article made me rethink the whole issue…..
Cops had to be called in after the music from a private party at the holiday getaway got too loud and the revellers, mostly students, were held. Six among them were from pune Twenty-nine youngsters, including ten girls and nineteen boys, were held for causing public nuisance at a private party in Lonavala, on Wednesday night. While no drugs were found, the police seized ten bottles of whiskey and vodka from the spot.According to the police, six youths among those arrested are from Pune, including an Australian girl studying at ILS Pune, while the rest are from Mumbai.
Senior inspector, Balraj Lanjile, who conducted the raid, informed the youths were celebrating one Mumbai-resident, Anmal Thakkar’s birthday at his uncle’s bungalow in Ryewood Park. The loud music from the party compelled the local residents to call the police. They were drinking and dancing. The loud music blaring from the speakers was causing a nuisance for the residents
First, a policemen patrolling the area asked the revellers to keep it down. However, the party continued as loud as ever.
So we sent a constable at around 1.30 am, but he informed that everyone there was intoxicated and no one would listen to him.
Hence, we planned a raid and arrived at the bungalow at 2.40 am. We found the boys and girls under the influence of alchohol, dancing in the garden and the terrace to the loud music.
Along with the youths, we also arrested the DJ who had come from Mumbai, for causing public nuisance,” Lanjile said.
He added, “Among those arrested are students, college graduates and children of influential businessmen in Mumbai.
We have contacted their families and friends. We are yet to check their backgrounds. Among the arrested is a girl of Australian origin who studies in ILS college of Pune.
We have no problems with private parties, but as they were creating public nuisance with the loud music, we had to take an action.”
The arrested were produced at the Wadgaon court on Thursday morning and have been remanded to one-day police custody.

The second review leaves out these crucial point that completely change the meaning of the story. While reporting sensitive issues like Morale Policing, the reporter has to really careful while giving details as a sensitive issue dealt in the wrong way can lead to a lot of Mess in the society in a large way.
I just want to say that by writing My review here i am not supporting Morale Policing or The Cops or The whole arrest event. I am just trying to tell reporters that if you are the voice that fights for a certain issue , then get your facts right, cause tomorrow when you are questioned, there should be no point from the other side that proves you wrong... One wrong will hinder the future vision and victory.
