This morning at Hurdman Station. What's usually a 5-minute stop took almost an hour today, with buses lined up bumper to bumper all the way to St.Laurent in one direction and Riverside in the other. The chaos was complete with police, fire trucks, ambulances and transit security.
In keeping with OC Transpo's standard policy of "Sit Down and Shut Up", no official explanation was provided, but apparently the whole circus was triggered by a chemical scare. Thank you gardenhoe for providing the info...
This is the only decent shot I was able to get through the bus window, since the a...... the driver wouldn't let me get off and walk alongside the bus.
So that was the start of my Monday. Then it got worse.
CORRECTION: I realize I may have been a little harsh in referring to "OC Transpo's standard policy of Sit Down and Shut Up". So let me rephrase this. The poilcy should actually be referred to as Move Back and Shut Up, since there usually are no seats available when you get onto an OC Transpo bus.
