Seen in a very long zoom shot taken at the election party in downtown Phoenix, our governor speaks at the end of the huge party, obviously quite happy. She was one of the "early adopters" of the Obama plan for the campaign for presidency. She was one of the first major political leaders to endorse Barack Obama. As a widely-popular Democratic governor of a largely conservative Republican state, she has been an extraordinary leader and is known for her practical, down-to-earth leadership in contentious issues. Napolitano is also well-regarded for her law experience. There have been speculations for quite some time now that she could be in position to become the next US Attorney General with Obama's win and part of the new Cabinet team.
I was thrilled to directly speak with her as she walked by my perch on a stage at the ballroom, surrounded by security. It was a joy to get her attention and share mutual cheers and "thumbs-up".
