NFL Cheerleader says Flu Shot Caused Rare Neorological Disease

Desiree Jennings, 25, says that she started to develop symptoms for a rare and debilitating muscular disease, called dystonia, after receiving seasonal flu shots from two months ago. She had been a healthy woman working at AOL, and a Washington Redskins cheerleading ambassador. Now, her body is breaking down to the point where she has trouble talking or walking normally.

Is this all a coincidence? Not according to Jennings, who cannot think of any other reason why she would just suddenly begin to suffer from dystonia. Jennings is convinced that the flu shot was the catalyst because she got sick 10 days after getting the shot. There are only three known ways of developing dystonia as an adult, head trauma, drug use or poisoning, and Desiree says that she has not experienced any of them.

She says it is a strange disorder where muscles work against each other. She can’t walk forward, only backward. She can run, but she can’t stop without help. She can whisper but has difficulty speaking. Noises can cause convulsions. Her resting heart rate is 90. When she runs, her blood pressure dips to 58. She gets exhausted walking a few steps but she could run for hours.

...i'm no doctor by any meens but have done quite a lot of research on the supplement creatine, it has been known to help many patients with muscular and neurolical diseases (help, not cure) this is a sad story of a good person and i truly hope she finds a way to help cope with this rare disease.
