Nicolas Sarkozy voting by looking4poetry

French President has voted this Sunday 16th of March in the afternoon in an elementary school of the 8th district of Paris.

This was the last turn of the municipalities elections, and journalist and politicians are waiting to see if French people is going to "punish" its government by voting for the left-hand labor instead of giving their voices to the French conservatives the way they did it in the previous presidential & legislative elections in 2007...

This is a shot I took for a photo agency I'll work with independently called Wostok Press. I did not sent this one to them despite i like the action of it : I don't like the idea of president shaking hands with an arm instead of somebody... i got annoyed with a window borders and the people spoiling the foreground.

Only 3 photo reporters from big press agencies were allowed to shoot from inside the voting place, the others had to stay outside "in the cold" :-)). Waiting all these hours for a less-than-five-minutes shooting session "from the window"...
