Goodluck Jonathan has been sworn in as president of Nigeria in the capital Abuja, for a new four-year term, following a nearly 60%  poll win. Thousands of guest including many African heads of states attended the ceremony in Eagle square amidst tight security. Flanked by two judges wearing white wigs, Goodluck Jonathan took the oat of office, a solemn vow to serve the poeple of Nigeria and uphold its constitution. Watching were more than 25 presidents from across Africa, Jacob Zuma and Robert Mugabe among them. President Jonathan myterioic rise from political unknown to the top job has been not far short of miraculous. Nigerians are not expecting miracles but many want to see real delivery on the many election promises that were made.
