A NJ State Trooper Was Found Shot in His Patrol Car on June 16

An unnamed New Jersey State trooper was found dead in his patrol car on an exit ramp of the Garden State Parkway in Monmouth County. Police have said that they are not looking for any suspects or any other cars, but they have not released the details of the shooting.

The trooper was found by another officer at around 7:30am Wednesday morning.

"The circumstances surrounding this suspicious death are being investigated by numerous detectives with the State Police,'' the agency said in a statement. "At this point, we are not looking for any additional vehicles or suspects in connection with the investigation.

Exit 98 was closed to traffic this morning while numerous police officers arrived on the scene and a police helicopter was seen flying overhead.
