1200 demonstrations go on a day in China. We don't see any of them.

I'm glad in a way the global mainstream media turned into a Corporate suckling pig. The unintended consequence has been to prompt more people to get out and do the community news themselves like this story. Not a word is said about the millions who dedicated themselves to the Communist ideology the had rammed down their throats for decades and now find themselves trudging along the roads of China as the Part Officials blow past them in their 7-Series BMW's. Keep filling the void with information. Nature abhors a vacuum!

Really! What a bunch of nonsense this article is.

Last I heard the US was crumbling, failed banks, no jobs, Economic Meltdown, world creator of the New Depression....with 700b Bank-bailouts, 789b stimulus economic bailout, unable to discern the value of homes, a society hell bent on gun ownership.....with exploding crime rates, and the continued expansion of Prisons. ... The US spends more money on its Military spending, and has a track record of occupying other countries.....with this bamboozled idea of Democrazy.....All Democrazy is...is the ability to make an excuse to invade other countries and steal their Oil resources... Politicians can lie and get away with it.....while also murdering millions with the present count thereof in Iraq.

People are not having demonstrations in China....and in fact the people in China really support the Chinese Government....One only has to see the huge public response when it came to rescuing the people caught in the Sichuan earthquake, compared to the US response when Katrina hit Louisiana....Yeah... the US brought in the Military and started shooting the people instead of rescuing them.

Some great bunch of politicians you have there right? And instead of trying to fix your problems....you wacko's have to blame some other country like China....who has people who really support their country......and there are not madmen in the China government plotting attacks like the Bush people did on 911......

Nope too much evidence proves 911 was an inside job..... Haaaaaaa.....What a joke this bit of propaganda is......

And Hillary comes to China begging China to keep buying US Treasury Bills......as the US economy slips into the abyss of indebtedness.... Better watch what you are saying because the Chinese are going to be the people rescuing America........No doubt in my mind.

And I will second that as a regular visitor to china I am back there next month

Let me explain about China to those that have never had the pleasure to visit this wonderful dynamic place.

The people for a start wander about free as a bird, they act if China is a socialist democratic society. There is still a solid presence of smart looking policemen of whom look very serious, but people get on with their business and their nightly entertainment and live a life that does not make them look to much difference to American citizens. Yes there are rules and regulation the laws to obey but big brother is not always looking over ones shoulder like in the city of London.   

China is not what it use to be and people are free to do things that are within the law, Their not false to work like slaves for the state.

Yes I do no about the movements in USA and in Europe yes I have seen the demonstrations in London out side the Chinese embassy.

But no not seen any demonstrations on the streets of China it simply not necessary as China has changed and if anything I see it creeping into a social democratic society within the next ten years and not because of demonstration on the street. But because capitalism and socialism at the midway point of politics works. 

I now see the worlds elite waking up to the reality of just that America is moving to the middle point and much of Europe is all ready there. It really means keep the people happy with a balance to ensure capitalism prospers.

If you analysis the global picture as I do you can see a clear view of a nearing political match of the world leading powers. Its becoming very amusing that the republican capitalistic viewed citizens are getting worried at a shift to central politics that's aimed to keep capitalism alive and USA firmly in the drivings seat of power for the next decade or so. 

Don't worry about the Chinese people worry about those in poverty and need at home.

djermano is an America lives in China so he has first hand knowledge I have friends doing business there and visit them fairly regularly and its only going there that will give you the experience and correct knowledge about China because much propaganda is released in the west that paint a picture that's not very true. 

Neither djermano or my self are communist and I for a start am a non political observer and hate all forms of political indoctrinations as they are the indocrinations of the elitetist of whom run this planet so badly because of the selfish aims. I prefere to value free thinking and dig deep into that cess pool of corruption and deception. Anybody thats read my articles or seen my comments will know thats as true as it can be.

I suggest you visit China and get to know the people and the system before making judgement please.

Great points by djermano and Babel-fish, who have actually spent some time in China, seen  the country first hand, and thus reached their opinions through the route of empirical evidence.

It's highly unfortunate that much of the voting public in first-world countries continue to remain so banefully misinformed about contemporary China. It's neither a communist nor a totalitarian society - it's a nascent and emerging free-market society, whose citizens enjoy ample amounts of freedom. Of course, it is still beset by numerous problems, and it is still a one-party state, but the overwhelming momentum of change is in a positive direction.

To the author of the article - I'd advise you pursue a little further research into the Falungong before swallowing all of their assertions unchewed. They're a religious cult who subscribe to many damaging practices and opinion. It's strange to me that no-one on this site has even made mention of this fact - would you trust complaints against the United States government if they came from the mouth of a fervent Branch Davidian?

Thanks Bob.... in fact China has so much to offer the world, if people get off the Communist bashing... I see more repressive things in the US......and so because it is called a Democracy they don't get the negative ratings? Totally ridiculous.... China cares about helping people, and because they have so many people that is a huge challenge. Picture America with 1 billion more people. They complain now about not having jobs, about having crowded highways....Now think of China....with that billion more mouths to feed.....

America you are nothing but spoiled little brats....you have not even been in this world for 250 years yet.....and you go around telling everybody what to do. You wave your political guns with threats and sanctions.....as if you know what the hell is going on. You know nothing.......

You invaded China once before and made the entire society Opium Drug Addicts....with your Opium selling......and in western schools we are taught how bad China, is....and how they use drugs all the time.....When I finally got out of the US to see the truth....I know how you really lie to suit your purposes........ and your war machine.

On the other hand China has been a country that has not been taken over by the Western Powers and has been around for over 7,000 years. That is a mighty long time....You'd think spoiled brat kid on the block USA would listen to Papa China....who has been around for awhile......

For instance....Most Americans know nothing about Chinese medicine, and how it works..to maintain good health. Americans have health care debates for I can't remember for how long now......and yet no one considers that a chinese way of health care is what I consider the best in the world....

Talk about inexpensive. The last I remember it cost me over $30.usd just to have an appointment with a USA know it all doctor...but in China it costs me about 25. cents....The medicine is also very inexpensive.....Think of the good health Americans could enjoy if they learned TCM....and used Chinese medicine in their lives.  I have been using it now 8 years, and I am as strong as a horse...couldn't feel better.... Think of all the people Chinese doctors see, and treat.....and most Chinese live for a very long time. I think they know more about medicine and treatment because they have been in the world for over 7,000 years... You'd think American doctors would have something to learn about Chinese medicine.

But no....... American medicine is all political....and very much tied to the Pharmaceutical Companies...and making huge profits for the corporations and doctors.

It is a disgrace that doctors live on the indigent, on the helpless, the poor, the infirm, the elderly, the cripples, and weak. American medicine is not about helping the people, it is about taking advantage of them...stalking them.....keep them sick....so they can make more money....

Maybe America will someday overcome their greed and have a real society that cares about people and their health instead of how much money they can surgically remove from their wallets, and bank accounts.

When that day comes.....I don't know.....It takes people to realize these things and go forward in meeting the needs.....with honesty and integrity...
