Although the flood situation eastern India state orissa is normal now, after one months still people are staying on the road side and on river bunds as thousands houses are destroyed. A total of 24 lakh people of the State were affected by this flood, stated to be a massive one seen in last few decades. The official death toll figure was put at 30.

Thanks very much for your post. Yes Floods in Orissa and Bihar have been deeply devastating and millions of people are still marooned and left in lurch. Please write a longer piece to have more details.
