No loss of life or property was reported as an earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale shook northern parts of Pakistan early Sunday morning.

ISLAMABAD: An earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale rattled northern parts of Pakistan early Sunday morning. No loss of life or property was, however, reported in the quake, which also rattled Mansehra and Balakot districts that were severely hit by October 8, 2005 deadly earthquake.A moderate earthquake rattled upper parts of the country including federal capital Islamabad before Sunday dawn, Geo News reported.According to the Met Office, the areas shook by the tremor included Dir Upper and Lower, Swat, Buner, Hangu, Malakand, Shangla, Nowshera, Mansehra, Balakot, Attock, Peshawar and Mohmand Agency.The epicenter of the quake was somewhere in Afghanistan beneath Hindukush mountainous region, the Met Office told media.No loss of life or property was reported. People, however, came out of their homes in fear reciting verses from the Holy Quran, witnesses said.

I agree, its good to know no lives were lost. We have suffered enough when we had that disastrous earthquake of October 2006 which killed 80,000 people in the northern areas!
