PANAJI 21 December: International and domestic tourist coming down in India in the state of Goa would not be able to celebrate their Christmas and New year on pristine beaches of this land, as Goa Government on Saturday, 20 December, have imposed ban on night parties on coastal lines.

In the backdrop of Mumbai terror attack , Goa government have beefed up the security across the state and specially on beaches, as terrorist had enter Mumbai through waterways. Goa government have erected sand bunkers at several vital places and on the beaches.

Concern over the tourist’s security, Goa government had to come to the decision of banning the night parties.

Speaking to reporters Chief Minister Digamber Kamat told that government had decided to ban the beach parties from December 23 to January 5. But traditional celebrations and parties in hotels are allowed.

Goa government had to cancel the order of banning the parties as there was heavy pressure from shack owners and resorts owners who holds the parties on beaches. But finally taking the consideration of Home department recommendation, it had to ban the parties.
