NORAD Santa Tracker 2011-2012: How to Track Santa Christmas Eve

NORAD will be providing their Santa Tracker for the 2011-2012 Christmas season!

There are a number of ways to track Santa (or Father Christmas) as he travels across the world on Christmas Eve delivering presents to all the girls and boys, but one of the most popular ways is to follow NORAD's Santa Tracker.

Launched on December 1, NORAD allows everyone to not only count down to Christmas Eve 2011, but also play games in the Kid's Countdown Village, where a new game will be provided every day until Christmas Day 2011.

Other ways to track Santa:

While the website may be the most popular way, there are other ways as well, especially if you are 'on the go'.

Using Google Maps on your smart phone allows you to follow Santa on Christmas Eve. You can also track him in Google Earth.

In addition, download the free NORAD Santa Tracker (called NORAD Tracks Santa) app on your iPhone and countdown the days till Santa's journey, follow him on Christmas Eve and play 'Elf Toss' to help Santa's elves deliver presents.

NORAD has been tracking Santa for more than 50 years, including its predecessor, Continental Air Defense Command (CONAD).

NORAD uses four systems to track Santa - radar, satellites, 'Santa cams' and fighter jets.

This is fantastic, the holiday season is surely the most wonderful time of the year and with <a href="greenplanetethics.com/wordpress/norad-santa-tracker-2011-watch-santa-live-with-google-earth-and-norad/" target="_new" rel="follow">Santa Tracker 2011</a> it makes the wait for children more fulfilling, and even educational!
