North Hollywood Senior High School Has Been Closed While Police Investigate Suspicious Package

A suspicious box was found on the school campus by a custodian just before 6:30am on Thursday morning, and now North Hollywood High is closed down to students and teachers while the Los Angeles Police Department bomb squad investigates.

KTLA News' Sky 5 HD helicopter was circling the area after the news broke and they are reporting that they spotted a shoe box at the entrance on the east side of the school. A bomb squad robot was later seen investigating the package. There were also papers spotted on the ground nearby with a message that said 'Guess Who?' according to KTLA.

Parents taking their children to school are being told to stay away from the front of the building and to drop their children off at the football field where others are being kept on the bleachers as reported by NBC..

It's believed the scare may affect graduation ceremonies, which are expected to take place Thursday afternoon.

NCB Los Angeles reports that the school told them they will hold graduation ceremonies in the evening but with increased security.
